"I believe that TablEdit changed the face of tablature use for acoustic instruments. My progress accelerated. As I tabbed songs, I also improved my ability to visualize music for the banjo and found it easier to hear music and transfer it to the fretboard.
Although I am not a professional musician (I like to eat and have a roof over my head ;O)) ), I have started several people on Bluegrass banjo. My modus operandi is to prepare some beginner tabs for a friend or acquaintance, get them going on rolls and basic chords, help them learn a song or two using tab generated with TablEdit, then send them out to professional banjo instructors.
With the advent of TablEdit, you will find my old, hand written tabs yellowing on the shelf. If only it were available back when I began!
