I am having trouble opening .tef files I have downloaded onto my tablet with the TEFview Android app. When I open them using the app, it loads an empty file with no tablature.
try to switch your mobile browser. The files are often corrupted with Chrome. But it will work with another browser.
Where can I find the app?
The app is available from the Google Play Store.
If the app is not available for your device on the PlayStore, you can download the installer teview.apk from tabledit.com and install it on your device by following this procedure.
Which languages are supported?
The app supports English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese and Ukrainian.
How can I convert a tablature created for another instrument?
It is impossible to convert an existing tef file with TEFview.
Nonetheless, TEFview will use your prefered tuning (as defined in the Preferences dialog
of the 
dialog) to import a tab from some MIDI, TXT or ABC file.
